"This film underscored the universal power of brotherhood."

— Russell Westbrook, NBA All-Star

For over 40 years, coach Neal Henderson has challenged prevailing notions about ethnicity and hockey by leading the Fort Dupont Cannons, one of America's only predominantly Black hockey clubs. The Cannons: Brothers on Ice documents an eventful season for Coach Neal and his team, as he's sidelined by health issues while also being inducted into both the Hockey Hall of Fame and National Museum of African American History.

Also following two high school seniors looking to leverage their skills and experience on the team for college scholarships, The Cannons: Brothers on Ice is a moving coming of age story intertwined with the celebration of a community leader, and shows how sports can forge bonds that last a lifetime.
